We are pleased to announce the formation of an Advisory Panel to help determine the direction and development of Cash & Payment News™. The following have kindly agreed to participate in this panel.

Adam Bailey – NatWest Group

Adam Bailey is Head of Cash Operational Strategy - Cash & Self Service Operations for NatWest Group.

He has 19 years of experience in the cash and ATM marketplace and is accountable for the bank’s cash industry and regulatory compliance. Adam leads NatWest Group's cash strategy, including the design, issuance and circulation of RBS and Ulster banknotes, through to the wholesale cash processing operation. Adam is also a member of the LINK Consumer Council.

At the end of May 2021, Adam will move roles to become Head of Self-Service Operations responsible for the bank’s ATM business and Cash Branch Automation. Adam will also work on the Access to Cash agenda relating to the front end of cash handling.

Eugenie Foster, IACA

Eugenie (Genie) Foster is the Executive Director of the International Association of Currency Affairs (IACA), responsible for creating and managing its activities, which have ranged from initiating collaboration among central bank researchers on consumer payment surveys, to the introduction of various in-person and online networking opportunities for IACA members.

In the past, Genie managed the cash program of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in the US and was the founding Program Director for the Central Bank Counterfeit Deterrence Group. She held various positions at the US Bureau of Engraving and Printing, including responsibility for two series of new currency designs.

Genie is an attorney-at-law and has served as Chief Counsel for the US Economic Development Administration. She is also a member of the Advisory Board for Cash & Payment News’ sister publication, Currency News™.

Mordechai Fein, ex-Head of Cash Department, Bank of Israel

Mordechai Fein joined the Bank of Israel in 1969 and, apart from three years with the board of the World Bank and the IMF in Washington DC, worked at the Bank until his retirement.

He became Head of the Currency Department in 2004 and served in this position up to retirement in 2014. In this post, he led the New Series Project of Banknotes for Israel, issued a new 20 NIS banknote made of polymer, introduced a new 2 NIS coin, and withdrew the lowest denomination coin of 5 agorot from circulation.

In 2009 he introduced a new management policy which reorganised and outsourced most of the Bank's cash activities to the commercial banks and their cash centres.

Ted Devereux, Executive Director of the Asian Cash Management Association (ACMA), Executive Chairman at Spearpoint Security Group

Ted Devereux has lived and worked in Asia Pacific for over 40 years. He co-founded the Guardforce Group in 1977. After a short sabbatical following the sale of the Group in 1999, he served as the G4S Regional President Asia Pacific from 2002-2010.

In 2012 he co-founded the Spearpoint Security Group, a Singapore holding company with security interests in a number of Asian countries. In all his roles, he has been closely associated with the development and growth of the Asian cash management industry.

He is currently the Executive Director of the Asian Cash Management Association.

Alper Sayin, Director, Cash Planning and Operations, Garanti BBVA

Alper Sayin is responsible for maintaining uninterrupted cash/ physical asset transfer, cash balance optimisation, cash collection and processing services throughout the bank’s branches and customer and off-site ATMs in order to comply with the cash balance targets and achieve high level of customer satisfaction.

He is an accredited internal coach (International Coaching Federation-ACTP) and a keynote speaker at international seminars and panels.
