CBDC Conference 2022

The CBDC Conference will take place in Frankfurt 29-31 August 2022. Registration is open and there is a super saver 25% discount rate for those who register by 30 April – www.cbdc-conference.com.

The Swiss National Bank, the Bank of England and the Central Bank of the Bahamas are confirmed as speakers, along with banking associations, technology providers, policy makers, and think tanks. Details will be posted on the conference website shortly.

The conference programme will look at all aspects of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) projects, including case studies of central bank CBDC projects, design issues and the question of how a retail CBDC can be embedded in an existing financial system. Special attention will also be given to the customer needs of CBDCs.

The conference includes its ‘CBDC Academy’ on 29 August, which provides the opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of Central Bank Digital Currency in a series of workshops. A variety of presentation and discussion formats will be used at the CBDC Conference.

The first CBDC Conference took place online in October 2021 with 57 speakers representing central banks, retail banks, policy makers, technology providers and academia. The keynote address was delivered by the state secretary of the ministry of finance of Germany, Dr. Jörg Kukies.
