Speakers Announced for the CBDC Conference 2022
The second CBDC Conference will take place 29-31 August 2022 in Frankfurt. The organiser is now publishing new speakers regularly on the conference website, www.cbdc-conference.com.
Speakers include Morten Bech (Bank for International Settlements), Thomas Moser (Swiss National Bank), Nick Butt (Bank of England), Jim Cunha (Federal Reserve Board), Scott Hendry (Bank of Canada), Viktor Möllborg (Sveriges Riksbank), Ribon Sigal (Bank of Israel), Hiromi Yamaoka (formerly Bank of Japan, now Future Corporation) and Xiaochen Zhang (Amazon Web Services).
On the first day of the conference a series of workshops will explain the fundamentals of CBDC through real-life examples.
Many of the speakers will deliver case studies, with first-hand accounts of their work providing a thorough understanding of and valuable insight into the workings of their ground-breaking projects.
Design and policy issues will also be discussed and the public’s requirements (as end customers) of a CBDC analysed.
The agenda also features presentations, panel discussions and workshops on the role of CBDCs in cross-border payments, in the financial and retail banking system and as a driver of innovation as well as financial inclusion.
To round it off, the relationship between CBDC and stable coins and their impact on the financial system and the economy will be scrutinised.
