CBDC Conference 2024: Governor’s Panel on CBDC

The CBDC Conference takes place 1012 September in Istanbul. One recently announced element of the agenda is a Governor’s panel chaired by John Ho, Standard Chartered. Panel members are Deputy Governor Marko Pahor of the Banka Slovenije, Deputy Governor Derek Rolle of the Central Bank of The Bahamas, and Deputy Governor Mamerto Tangonan of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, who will share their views on CBDCs.

The CBDC Conference aims to provide perspectives on CBDC design, policy considerations, and the role of CBDC in shaping the future financial system. It will cover the challenges, opportunities, and potential implications of CBDCs in the financial sector through a mixture of formats and speakers from these highlevel decision-makers who are driving CBDC agendas.
