New Cash Environmental Resource Launched

Reconnaissance, working with Currency Publications, started a programme of sustainability-related projects at the end of 2021 with the publication of ‘Cash: A Roadmap to Sustainability’. Since then, we have continued a programme of work which has been made freely available in an effort to help reduce our industries environmental impact.

We have:

• Run two Cash Sustainability Forums.
• Published white papers on ‘Repurposing Unfit Shredded Banknotes’ and, in February this year, ‘Cash Cycle Recirculation and Local Recycling: from Policy to Practice’.
• Run a number of webinars on the topic, some working with other organisations.
• Created an ESG game.
• Written about sustainability in Currency News™.

All of this has now been collated on one website Cash Sustainability Forum™ which was launched on World Mother Earth Day, with the idea of creating not just a resource that everybody and anybody can refer to if they are seeking environmental information, but a broader community asset to which all can contribute with news of their sustainability initiatives and programmes.
