When Andrew Bailey, Governor of the Bank of England, says that ‘money in the form of central bank reserves has been digital in form for many years’ (Bank of England, 20 June 2025), it is clear that the inventors of identity-bearing digital money have failed to explain the true scale of the innovative step and the revolution and benefits that this new form of money can bring to our lives, everywhere, and that it is a real step ahead of existing digital payments.
