ATMIA Summit to Focus on Cash in Digital-First World
The ATMIA Europe & Emerging Markets Summit will take place on 14-15 October in London, with a strong focus on cash’s evolving role in a digital-first world.
On the first day, Barclays Bank will describe its strategy for adapting to declining cash use through automation and collaboration. Cash Access UK will explain how it has introduced over 150 shared banking hubs. And a panel at the end of the first day will consider the UK’s wider approach to community banking.
There is also an interesting panel topic, ‘The Hidden Backbone: How Cash Enables Electronic Payments and Builds Resilience,’ with panellists from the International Currency Association, Bargeld Zaehlt, the International Security Ligue, and ESTA.
The agenda will go on to consider how technology, including software, AI forecasting and the latest smart devices, and regional innovations are changing bank branches and reshaping cash services and customer expectations.
